HOME OF GIODO
The winecellar was built partially underground to integrate it perfectly into its surrounding landscape, and the rocks from the excavation went to construct its external walls. A specially-designed opening in the rock provides an extraordinary view of Sant’Angelo in Colle. Welcoming guests is a cosy, Eden-like garden of flowers and aromatic plants. In sum, a one-of-a-kind locus of utter harmony that enfolds, from the the 2021 vintage, the fruit of a precious few hectares of land.
CARE AND EXPERTISE
Nothing has been neglected here for transforming ideally-ripe, distinctive grapes into eagerly-coveted, world-class wines. Every single winemaking procedure for producing Giodo and La Quinta is carried out with the utmost care and expertise. As soon as they are hand-harvested, the berries are gravity-fed into stainless steel tanks for fermentation.
Brunello spends all of its maturation period in oak casks, while La Quinta passes some time in cocciopesto amphorae, were it develops crisp, luscious fragrances of wild red berryfruit. Finally, the wines rest in traditional concrete vats and in large terracotta jars before bottling and spend additional time ageing in glass.
